Ellie is the bestest cousin in the whole wide world!

hehe:) I remembered! Sorry it's so late though!

To those of you who may be confused, i saw Ellie, Noah, and Jacob today for cousin day! Zach and Madi were also there, but Ana was in the hospital for tonsils...I think she is better now...(Grandma was giving us updates!)

And Ellie reminded me that I hadn't updated blogger in forever, but she checks it every day to see if I've written! So I promised her I would write tonight:)

Ellie, Noah, Jacob, and Ana, with Marci and Rob of course, leave next Wednesday for Florida. They are moving down there for Rob's job, and we see them one more time before they depart. I will deeply miss seeing my cousins at birthday parties and such, plus the occasional surprise squeeze in the hallways of school.

Luckily, we'll be able to keep in touch...(I love technology!)...and we'll see them...(to be determined)

On a much happier note, two weeks ago, it was confirmed that Dad and I are officially going to Costa Rica next Spring Break! Tickets are bought and I'm so, SO excited!!! I almost screamed when I found out!!! (I was talking to my teacher when he told me, so that's why I didn't)

hehe...until later...I love you!!!

SENIOR!!! (officially)

I finished my last final around 11:00 today! I'm officially a senior!!! we did the routine of having all the teachers sign your sheet, cleaning out the lockers, turning in pad lock and parking pass. I have a senior parking space!!! I have a new locker partner! I only have 4 classes on campus! And I have a whole summer (that is super busy already) to enjoy!!! Anywho, got to go catch Mom up, then hopefully start our facebook!!!!

Senior!

So, this is my conclusion. I'm super excited for senior. But, I don't want it to end. But, I want to begin college so I can get teaching! I'm so excited for the future! But, I want to stay in high school...this presents a problem.

Our first three finals were today. Spanish final is on Monday...let's just say I'm going to study lots and lots and lots!

I along with Cole, Abbie, Jordan, Hannah, Jenn, and Josiah took our first steps as seniors on Saturday as we led chapel. Cole began by singing a song, we followed up speaking for about 2-8 minutes each, then Abbie ended the chapel with her guitar and singing. She is incredible!!! It was very nerve-racking at first...there's a lot of people in those bleachers! I think the teachers were the most intimidating! But it was fun! Dr. Bob posted a summary of us speaking at dmcs.org.

Well, anywho, I'm driving Dad to Iowa City...he still has a measure to do and he's a bit tired. Then I get to babysit tomorrow!!!! I'm super excited!!!

Until Tuesday...when Mom and I get a FACEBOOK!!!! I can't wait!!! And I've been counting down the days!!!!

NOT GOOD!!!

Today was the graduation ceremony.

I was blessed to lead the graduates down the isle, hand them roses for their mothers after they receive their diplomas, and lead them back after the ceremony.

I was ok until Annie started speaking.

I cried because her speech was totally amazing and I was laughing so hard.

Then Mr. Caves spoke.

And I was hoping my make up wouldn't smear...

It was all around a really good class...the class of 2009.

Then I handed out roses.

All was good until Katie Cole came to give me a hug, said a few hushed words, and the tears started to fall.

Next came Lizzie Dawson, Erin Hiatt, Chelsea Keeney, Stephanie Kopf, Elizabeth Lowe, Rachenda Rockwell, Annie Stevens, Andrea Ytzen...just to name a few.

I put myself back together before leading them back to the cafeteria.

I saw Mrs. De Bruin...that was good stuff!! Madelyn is so adorable! And I got to catch up with her real quick.

Then the seniors were crying, and that just didn't finish well.

And it's me next year...

Not quite sure if I'm ready to be senior...

I used to want to grow up so fast, and now I want life to slow down.

hmmmmmmmmmmm...

WOW! It's been a while...

Sorry guys!

I didn't realize how long it has been since I've blogged. But I guess it shows you just how busy I've been...

Our last golf meet is on Monday, and it's an all day event! it's been a fun season, but I'm glad it's almost over. Finals are beginning, (Calc was today and tomorrow) and I need the time to study!

Prom was almost three weeks ago! It's crazy! here are long awaited pictures! I hope you enjoy them! I know I had a total blast!!!

1 down, 2 to go

Completing the ACT yesterday around 11:45, I am very sick of filling in bubbles! But I'm one down and two more to go...June and September...unless I do great and get the score I would like.
Also, less than 3 weeks to prom! I have a group of girls that are "dateless". We are all going out to eat and then heading to the dance! It's going to be great and tons of fun! Last minute preparations are being made as prom sneaks closer for the committee...crowns, sashes, invitations...so much to do, so little time!

Golf is in full swing...(pun not intended) and I'm staying busy with that. Dad is my personal trainer as he couldn't be coach because he doesn't have his license. He's come to all the practices though and I enjoy him there! It's a lot of fun, and I never thought I'd have Dad for a coach, so that is a blessing. He's planning on getting his license and becoming head coach next year!

Speakers notes...I'll post them sometime. They're really worth looking at! I've just been a little busy! (Thank you, Mrs. McCool) We found out she and Mrs. Bunjer are both leaving after this year. It seems like all the great teachers are leaving! Although Mr. Steddom is doing a great job of replacing them, it's still sad to see them go. If Mr. Peterson leaves though...he won't...he's around for at least one more year! COSTA RICA!!!

Well, company is coming over and I have to go put stuff away...homework and such. Stay warm with this crazy snow in April!

Staying busy!

With prom less than 4 weeks away, ACT on Saturday, and teachers piling on the homework, I've been staying very busy! I've written two essays, and I have a speech to still write. I got re certified in CPR yesterday, so that's good for a year, and I started golf on Thursday. It's the school's first year, so we'll see how we do. It should be fun!

Hope everyone is doing well! Stay safe with the cold weather again, but isn't that green grass beautiful!!!

Oh, and maybe next week after ACT is done, I'll copy my notes from the speaker we had...incredible!!!

Yeah! and...breath

MR. PETERSON TOLD ME TODAY THAT WE'RE GOING TO COSTA RICA NEXT SPRING BREAK! I'm a little excited!!!!! We were going to go this summer, but not enough kids were interested, so it got moved. Board approved...YES!!!

And our speaker that we have is absolutely amazing!! Hilarious! Incredible! I'm recording bits and pieces, and I'll let you view them!

Also...the breath...I have one speech by Wednesday, essay by Monday, essay by Tuesday to write, study for the ACT, and continue to plan prom...school gets into the swing of things quite quickly!!!

Off for homework and church! See ya!

real quick

Just a real quick in pop in...

Today was the first day back to school after spring break. Yesterday was teacher in services, but I still was at school. A.J. cleaned the sound equipment, and I hung out with Jenn and we went to Borders...I got a Spanish to English Dictionary, a 333 Spanish verb conjugation book, and an ACT book...yeah:o] I'm super excited for the Spanish books! We were heading back to school, and the teachers were still in their meetings...(they looked so bored) so we went upstairs and went into Mr. Peterson's surprisingly unlocked door. We decorated his bored fun stuff-we hope you got burnt (he was on a cruise) and give his adorable daughter a hug. We were kidding about getting burnt, and we found out today, he didn't.

Today was the beginning of worldview week. We had a married couple come speak to us about how media affects us. It was a great discussion...notes...maybe when I have time:o] Also, C.J. spoke about porn to the guys while the girls headed to the choir room for the modesty chat. Shelly did a really great job...different angles and analogies...

Anyway, I'm not very good at short. Off to bed for me...see ya!

We're back!!

We're back! Vacation was great! Monday night, after we got settled in, we went to Moose Jaw. This restaurant serves the best pizza food ever! Dad and I split a canadian bacon, pineapple, and red onion calzon, however you spell it. It was incredible! Tuesday, we headed to the water park: after enjoying the water and theme park, Mom and I laid out on the roof and caught some sun. Don't laugh! It was beautiful, even in Wisconsin! Wednesday was shopping day! I hit up on Claire's and got 7 pairs of earrings, a bracelet, necklace, and key chain all for #10! The Merril's joined us Wednesday night and we took them to Moose Jaw. It is totally amazing...come on...we went there twice! Thursday was a chilling day...when you're with the Merril's, you stay up late and talk, so we did that Wednesday, and then slept in Thursday. We had breakfast, went to the pool, and then went out to an amazing Italian dinner. We also sent to Escape to Witch Mountain...great movie! (And I saw the movie poster for HP6!!) We stayed up late to talk, and then left Friday morning. That is our vacation in a very, very small nutshell! Hopefully I'll post pics soon and you can get a little bit bigger picture.

Last night was quite enjoyable...I had 4 girlfriends over and we had a blast! We were glad to be in company again...and we just talked...loudly! It's cool because they, my girlfriends, have all adopted my mom as their 2nd mom. They came in and started shouting for her! But Mom is pretty sweet, so I'll share her:o] Anywho, we left at a quarter to midnight to pick up Twilight! The movie...ahhhhh...AMAZING! hehe...it was very good, I think better than the 2nd time!

Well, prom info to take care of. See ya!

And waiting...

Packed, ready to go, and like usual, we haven't left yet, although we leave in about ten minutes, we should have left at 9:00. Oh well, when we get on the road is when we get on the road.

Mom is quite hilarious. We we're setting up her new ipod yesterday, and she only put 291 songs on it. + 3 movies and games. Now for me, I have almost 900 songs and one movie. But she pointed out, when she pulls out her ipod, she'll be watching something. When I pull out mine, I'm working out, doing homework, or just chilling and probably prefer music. Although this is true, A.J. and I still laughed at her amount of songs compared to ours. ...I'm just impressed she actually bought one. And she has a pink camera now! Now the test is to see whether she uses it on vacation, or whether we still use mine...to be determined:o]

While in the car, I will be reading the new Harry Potter book...can't remember the name, but I've wanted to read it since it came out, but been busy. I'll also be writing a persuasive speech and studying for the ACT. If that all gets done, I will read, once again, the Twilight book in time for the DVD premier, this Friday...yeah!!! And just to clarify, I don't believe in magic or vampires:o] Harry Potter is an amazing thriller and Twilight, although is a stretch, I relate Edward to Jesus and Bella to us as humans...further questioning? I'll explain if you want:o]

Well, we should be leaving pretty shortly meaning I must sign off for the time remaining. Hope you all have a fantabulous week and I'll blog later!

Spring Break...just wonderful!

This weekend was great! Ap Lit homework sat on my bed all weekend and it still remains uncompleted!! It's not due till a week from Wednesday!!!! (Monday, no school. Tuesday, kick off of worldview week, and Wednesday is shortened classes)

This weekend, I ate, slept, played on excel, and worked out on the wii fit! I love that game! I can run, ski, play soccer, and yoga without leaving my living room, not to mention, have TobyMac singing through surround sound:o] We also watched the movie Fireproof as a family. Although geared toward married couples, I thought it to be an extremely great movie!!

Also, I was corrected. Rachenda's cake sold for $210, not $150. (If your confused, watch scrapbook)

Well, lots of research to do yet before we take off tomorrow! TTYL!!!
